NQCH at Supercomputing Asia 2023

Quantum computing had a strong presence at the Supercomputing Asia 2023 event held 27 February – 2 March in Singapore. Members of the NQCH team spoke at the conference, including our lead PI Jose Ignacio Latorre as a keynote speaker on “Singapore into Quantum”. Conference sponsors included quantum computing companies PASQAL and IQM.

Finland And Singapore’s National Quantum Office Ink MoU

Under the MoU signed by the National Quantum Office (NQO) of Singapore, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, IQM Quantum Computers, and CSC – IT Center for Science (Finland), the parties’ aims include accelerating development of quantum technology hardware components and collaborating in quantum-accelerated high-performance computing.

National Quantum Computing Hub announced by Singapore Deputy Prime Minister

Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies Heng Swee Keat announced the National Quantum Computing Hub (NQCH) in his opening address at the Asia Tech x Singapore Summit on 31 May 2022 . This marked the debut of NQCH as a joint initiative by the Centre for Quantum Technologies, A*STAR’s Institute of High Performance Computing and the National Supercomputing Centre Singapore.
